Professor CV Chandrasekhar
CV Chandrasekhar, one of India's senior most Bharatanatyam dancers was trained at the internationally renowned Kalakshetra in Chennai under the mentorship of Rukmini Devi Arundale. He has imbibed from his mentor the best of Indian art, culture and aesthetics. He served the Banaras Hindu University and M. S. University of Baroda and retired as the Head and Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts of M S University of Baroda.

CV Chandrasekhar is a multi faceted personality being a dancer, choreographer, researcher, musician, academician, composer and highly acclaimed teacher of Bharatanatyam. He has been performing for the past six decades in India and all over the globe and is invited by many dancers the world over to teach and to choreograph. A much revered dancer in his seventies, his presentation of Bharatanatyam technique is at its finest and continues to be an inspiration for all dancers.

Professor CV Chandrasekhar has a number of music and dance compositions to his credit and his dance dramas have been very highly acclaimed for their individuality and innovative approach. His choreographic works include Kalidasa's Ritu Samharam and Meghadootham, Aparajitha, Pancha Maha Bhootham, Arohanam, Bhoomija, Brahmarageeth, Kreeda and many others. He has many prestigious awards to his credit of which the notable ones are Central Sangeet Natak Academy Award, the Sangeeta Kala Acharya from the prestigious Music Academy in Chennai, the academy awards of the States of Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, Nrithya Choodamani from Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai and the University Grants Commission's National Lectureship, Tagore professor at the University of Madras, appointed member executive board, Central Sangeet Natak Akademi, Nadabrahmam award from the Narada Gana Sabha, Nritya Ratnakara from Bhairavi Fine Arts, Cleveland, Nritya Kala Ratna from Mysore, Bharatha Kala Saagara from Sri Bharatalaya, Nrithyodaya award.

Smt. Jaya Chandrasekhar
Smt. Jaya Chandrasekhar trained in Bharatanatyam under Smt. Lalitha Sastri in New Delhi. She has been an invaluable partner to Shri C.V. Chandrasekhar, accompanying him as a dancer, vocalist, nattuvanar and co-choreographer throughout the years.

Smt. Manjari Chandrasekhar
Smt. Manjari Chandrasekhar, a highly accomplished dancer and daughter of Professor CV Chandrasekhar has been impeccably trained by her parents. She has performed in many prestigious venues around the world and has numerous choreograhic works to her credit that maintain the high standards in which she has trained.

Smt. Bragha Bessell
Smt. Bragha Bessell is a consummate artist. She has been a senior student of Adyar K Lakshman and Kalanidhi Narayanan and is renowned for her abhinaya. She is the quintessential Bharata Natayam dancer, totally immersed in the art of learning and in the emotional aspects of the music she portrays.

Smt. Bragha has often played the lead roles in her teachers' dance productions and also teaches at her guru's institute. With many awards to her credit, she has given numerous performances in India and abroad. She has participated in dance festivals in Chennai and has performed extensively in India, the United States, Canada and throughout Europe. She has made TV appearances in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Japan and on AsiaNet. Smt. Bragha has also conducted many workshops and lecture demonstrations. Her classes in Abhinaya, interpretation and choreography are eagerly attended by senior dancers, teachers and students.

Smt. Thejeswini Raj
Smt. Thejeswini Raj is an accomplished professional dance teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. She is known for her intricate choreography and ability to play nattuvangam. Smt. Thejeswini mastered the Kattu Maanar Koyil Muthukumaran Pillai (one of the founding teachers of Kalakshetra) style of Bharatanatyam under the guidance of her father, the late Guru Shri S.V. Srinivasan, who is the direct disciple of Kattu Maanar Koyil. Smt. Thejeswini continued her training under the tutelage of other renowned gurus of South India. She established Shiv Jyoti Dance Academy in Mumbai in 1980 and since then has trained numerous students in the art; many have been awarded the National Scholarship and have won various dance competitions. Her students have performed at many venues in India, Europe and America.

Since 1991, Smt. Thejeswini has been the Guru to the famous dancer and actress, Meenakshi Shesadri. She has performed all over India and America with Meenakshi during this period. Smt. Thejeswini has also choreographed for established artists such as Sunanda Nair, Anandi Ramachandran and Rajeshwari Sachdev. Her work has received accolades from notable dance critics all over India including Subbudu, Sunil Kothari, Leela Venkataraman and Prakruthi Kashyap. She has conducted performances all over India and abroad including the festivals of dance at Swami Haridas Swamelan, Brindavan, the Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Shabha, Madras, Kuchipudi Mahahotsav, Mumbai, Ganesh Utasav, Pune, Elephanta Festival, Maharashtra, Chidambaram Festival and all the prestigious banners in Delhi, Calcutta, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Bhopal.
